Privacy Policy

Privacy policy for the Media Saver: Video Download Android app by NewAgeDevs.

Effective date: 4 October 2026

Last updated: 4 October 2026

App: Media Saver: Video Download (Google Play package com.newagedevs.mediasaver)

Developer: NewAgeDevs

Contact: imamagun94@gmail.com

NewAgeDevs (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Media Saver mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, where it goes, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to version 1.2.8 and later, and replaces the policy dated 9 June 2026.

By installing or using Media Saver you agree to the practices described here.

1. Summary

  • Media Saver does not require you to create an account with us. We do not run servers that receive your downloads, your browsing or your personal details.
  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • Media you download, your browsing history, bookmarks and settings are stored on your device.
  • To keep the App free, we show ads served through AppLovin MAX and the ad networks it mediates. These collect device identifiers and similar data (see Section 4).
  • The Trending tab and its notifications use Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Cloud Messaging), which gives your device a Firebase installation ID and a push token (see Section 5).
  • To find the media behind a link, the App sends that link to the platform it came from and, for TikTok and X links, to an independent helper service (see Section 6).

2. Information We Handle

2.1 Information you provide

  • Feedback & support emails. When you use the in-app Feedback form, your answers are placed into a draft email in your own email app, addressed to imamagun94@gmail.com. The draft also contains your device manufacturer and model and your Android version, to help us diagnose problems. You can read and edit the draft before sending it, and nothing is sent unless you send it. We receive your email address and whatever the email contains, and use them only to reply to you.
  • Links you paste, share to the App or open in it are used to find and download the media they point to (see Section 6).

2.2 Information stored on your device

The following stays on your device and is not sent to us:

  • Downloaded media (photos, videos, audio). By default, videos are saved to Movies/MediaSaver, photos to Pictures/MediaSaver and audio to Music/MediaSaver in your device's shared storage, where your gallery and other apps with media access can see them. If you pick a different folder in Settings, files are saved there instead.
  • Download records. For each download: the source link, file name and location, size and status, and the post details shown in the App (caption, hashtags, the creator's name, username and profile-picture link, thumbnail link). The Creators list is built from these records: the accounts you have downloaded from, with a post count.
  • App preferences and history. Theme, language, download quality and folder, Fast Download, Auto-Clipboard, the browser ad blocker and the Trending offline cache setting; the in-app browser's history (up to 50 links), bookmarks and open tabs; video playback positions; and simple counters (how often you have opened the App and finished downloads, when you last saw a rating or Premium prompt) that are used only to decide when to show those prompts. These are stored using Android DataStore and the App's private storage.
  • Trending cache. Trending posts and categories downloaded from our feed, plus which ones you have viewed or added to Favorites, kept in a local database so the tab also works offline.
  • Login sessions for third-party platforms. When you sign in to a platform (e.g. Instagram or Facebook) inside the in-app browser, you sign in on that platform's own website, and we never see your password. The session cookies are stored by the system WebView, and the App keeps a copy of them in its private storage so it can fetch media that your account is allowed to see. They are sent only to that platform's own servers. You can clear them at any time from the platform screen, or by clearing the App's data.
  • Clipboard. Auto-Clipboard is off by default. If you turn it on, the App reads the clipboard when you return to it; if the clipboard holds a web link, the App starts looking up that link's media straight away, exactly as if you had pasted it (see Section 6). Anything that is not a link is ignored, and clipboard contents are not stored.

2.3 Information collected automatically

  • Advertising data. Our advertising partners collect device identifiers, IP address, basic device information and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads (see Section 4).
  • Firebase identifiers. Firebase assigns your installation an ID and a push token so the Trending feed and notifications can reach your device (see Section 5).
  • Google Play services handle purchases, in-app reviews, in-app updates and the App's fonts, under the Google Privacy Policy.

We do not use an analytics or crash-reporting service of our own (no Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics). The App does not ask for location permission, and we do not knowingly collect biometric data, contacts, precise location, or the content of accounts you sign in to.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide the App's core features (browsing, finding and downloading the media you request).
  • To deliver the Trending feed and its notifications, including occasional notifications about our other apps.
  • To remember your settings and improve your experience.
  • To respond to your feedback and support requests.
  • To display advertising that keeps the App free, and to provide Premium to people who buy it.

4. Advertising & Third-Party Mediation

Media Saver monetises through AppLovin MAX, a mediation platform that selects ads from several advertising networks and real-time bidding partners. The networks built into the App are:

  • AppLovin (MAX / AppLovin Exchange)
  • Meta Audience Network
  • InMobi
  • Liftoff (Vungle)
  • Unity Ads

If we add a network, we will add it to this list.

These partners may collect and process your device's advertising identifier (the Google Advertising ID) and app-set ID, your IP address and the approximate location it implies, device information such as model, operating-system version, language and network type, and ad-interaction data (ads shown, taps, video completions). They use this to deliver relevant ads, cap how often you see an ad, measure performance and prevent fraud. On Android versions that support it, they may also use Android's privacy-preserving ad services (attribution and Topics). We do not receive or store this data. Its handling is governed by each partner's own privacy policy:

Consent. The App turns on AppLovin's built-in consent flow, which links to this policy and our Terms & Conditions. Where that flow collects a consent choice from you (for example in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland), your choice is applied to later ad requests.

Your choices. You can limit ad personalisation at any time by resetting or deleting your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Doing so does not remove ads, but makes them non-personalised.

Purchasing Premium removes ads from the App. Watching an optional rewarded ad hides other ads for a short time. The AppLovin SDK still starts with the App in both cases, so some technical data may still reach AppLovin.

The Trending tab and its notifications are powered by Google Firebase, run by Google LLC.

  • Cloud Firestore. The App downloads the list of trending posts and categories from our Firestore database. This is read-only: the App does not upload anything about you, your downloads or your viewing to it. As with any web request, Google's servers see your IP address and basic technical information about the App.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging. Each time the App starts, it subscribes your device to our “trending” notification topic. To do this, Firebase creates an installation ID and a push token for your copy of the App and registers them with Google. We use this topic only to send new trending posts (added to the feed silently, and sometimes shown as a notification) and occasional promotions of our other apps, which open the promoted app's page (usually on Google Play) when tapped.
  • Turning notifications off. Notifications appear only if you allow them (Android 13 and later ask you). You can turn them off at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Media Saver → Notifications, for example by switching off the “Trending” category. New posts may still be added to the feed in the background, and the push token stays registered until you uninstall the App or clear its data.
  • Thumbnails and offline cache. Trending thumbnails and videos load from the platforms' own servers (e.g. Instagram or Facebook). If “Offline Cache” is on in Settings (it is by default), the App also pre-loads the next few trending videos so they play without a connection.

We do not use Firebase Authentication, Analytics or Crashlytics. Google handles Firebase data under the Firebase privacy information and the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Finding and Downloading Media

  • Platforms. When you paste, share or open a link (or Auto-Clipboard picks one up), the App requests that post or page directly from the platform it belongs to, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Threads, Pinterest, Vimeo, IMDb or the Microsoft Store, using the platform's public pages and endpoints and, where you have signed in, your session for that platform. The platform sees your IP address and the request, just as it would in a browser.
  • Helper services. TikTok links are first sent to TikWM (www.tikwm.com), an independent service that returns the video's download links (watermark-free where available). For X (Twitter) links, if X's own endpoints do not return the media, the post's ID is sent to vxTwitter (api.vxtwitter.com), another independent service. Neither is run by us or by the platform. They receive the link or post ID and your IP address, but never your platform login or cookies, and their handling of it is their own.
  • Downloads. Files are fetched directly from the platform's or website's servers to your device. They never pass through servers of ours.
  • In-app browser. Websites you open in the in-app browser receive what any browser sends them. Searches typed into it go to Google. The built-in ad blocker (on by default) stops many ad requests on those pages.

7. Premium Purchases

Premium is sold as a weekly, monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase, through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment, so we never see your card or payment details. The App confirms your purchases with Google Play on your device and keeps a Premium flag in its local storage; we run no server of our own for this. Google Play gives us order records in the Play Console, which we use only to handle refunds and support requests.

8. Permissions

  • Internet, network state and Wi-Fi state: required to browse, download, load the Trending feed and show ads.
  • Notifications (asked on Android 13 and later): to show download progress, Trending posts and occasional promotions of our other apps.
  • Foreground service (data sync): to keep downloads you started running in the background, with a visible notification.
  • Storage write access, on Android 9 and earlier only: to save downloads to your shared Movies, Pictures and Music folders. On Android 10 and later the App saves files without any storage permission. It never asks for permission to read your photo or video library.
  • Advertising ID and Android ad services: used by the ad SDKs for advertising (see Section 4).
  • Receive push messages, wake lock and run at start-up: declared by Firebase Cloud Messaging and other libraries in the App, to deliver messages and finish background work.
  • Google Play Billing: to sell and restore Premium.

The App does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or phone permissions. You may revoke permissions in your device settings; some features will stop working without them.

9. Data Retention & Security

Preferences, history, download records, the Trending cache and saved platform sessions remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Downloaded files saved to shared storage are not removed when you uninstall; delete them from your gallery or file manager.

The App allows Android's backup. If backup to your Google account is turned on, Android may include the App's private data (settings, history, download records and saved platform sessions) in that backup, which is stored in your Google account and not shared with us.

Data collected by AppLovin and the ad networks, by Google and Firebase, and by the helper services in Section 6 is kept under their own retention policies. Requests the App makes to the services in this policy use encrypted (HTTPS) connections. We apply reasonable safeguards, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Media Saver is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR/EEA, CCPA/California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data and to opt out of personalised advertising. Because we keep no server-side profile of you, you can exercise most of these rights directly: clear the App's data or uninstall it to delete what it stores, and reset or delete your Advertising ID to opt out of personalised ads. For data held by the ad networks, Google or the helper services, use the policies linked above or contact those companies. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence. For anything else, contact us.

12. Third-Party Platforms

Media Saver lets you browse and download content from third-party services (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, Pinterest, Threads, IMDb, Vimeo, the Microsoft Store, and other websites you open in the in-app browser). We are not affiliated with these services. Your use of their content is subject to their terms; please respect copyright and only download content you are entitled to.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
