These terms apply to your use of Couple Widgets: Days Together (“the app”). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app. This is the first published version of these terms.
1. What the app is
Couple Widgets counts the days you and your partner have been together and shows it on your home screen. It lets you design home-screen widgets with your own photos or the built-in avatars, backdrops, stickers and fonts; keep a timeline and calendar of your important dates; and play a set of questions for couples. The app is provided for personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or are allowed to use.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on your devices, under these terms and the terms of the store you got it from, such as the Google Play Terms of Service.
The app, including its design, code, templates, avatars, backdrops, stickers, question sets, name and icon, belongs to NewAgeDevs or its licensors. You may use the designs you make with it on your own devices, but you may not extract, resell or republish the app's built-in artwork or content on its own, or publish a copy of the app under its name or icon.
3. Your content
The names, dates, photos, memories and other details you add stay on your device; we do not receive them, and you keep whatever rights you have in them. How the app handles them is described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for what you add. Only use photos and personal details you are entitled to use, and be considerate of your partner: their name, photo, birthday and the other details you can record are their personal information too. Remember that a home-screen widget is visible to anyone who can see your phone.
4. Couple Widgets Forever (in-app purchase)
- What it is. Couple Widgets Forever is a single, optional, one-time in-app purchase. It removes the ads and stops the app's advertising SDK from starting. Every design, backdrop, sticker, font and question in the app is free with or without it; it does not unlock any features.
- One payment, not a subscription. You are charged once. Nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel.
- Price. The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency, as set by Google Play. It may differ between countries and may change over time; a change does not affect a purchase you have already made.
- Payment is handled entirely by Google Play under Google's terms. We never see your payment details. If you choose a payment method that completes later (for example a bank transfer or cash payment), the ads are removed once Google Play confirms that the payment has been made.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. You can request a refund from Google Play within its refund window; after that, email us and we will consider the request.
- Restoring. The purchase belongs to the Google account that made it. The app checks for it automatically when it starts, and you can tap Restore purchases on the purchase screen after reinstalling or on a new phone signed in to the same account.
- Availability. The purchase is offered only in versions of the app that show ads. If it is offered through another app store, that store's terms and refund policy apply instead of Google Play's.
- Future versions. Owning Couple Widgets Forever will keep every future version of the app that we publish free of ads.
5. Advertising
The free version shows full-screen ads, supplied through AppLovin. Ad content comes from third parties; we do not endorse the products or services advertised and are not responsible for them or for any dealings you have with advertisers. How AppLovin uses data, and how to review your ad consent through Ad privacy options in the app's settings, is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app to break the law, or to harass, stalk or harm anyone;
- add another person's photos or personal details in order to embarrass, intimidate or impersonate them;
- tamper with, bypass or disable the app's ads or purchase checks, or obtain the purchase without paying for it;
- reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it, or redistribute modified copies of it;
- publish the app, or the content inside it, under another name.
7. Third-party services and content
The app relies on services run by others, such as Google Play (purchases, updates and ratings) and AppLovin (ads), and it can open your email app, Google Play and your web browser. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
The widget fonts (Noto Serif, Dancing Script, Roboto, Roboto Condensed and Roboto Mono) are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; their licence files ship inside the app.
8. Your device and your data
Everything you enter is stored only on your device. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app deletes it, and on Android it is not included in your phone's automatic backup, so it does not move to a new phone. We cannot recover it. Keep your own record of anything important.
Day counts, countdowns and milestones are calculated from the dates you enter and your phone's date, time and time zone. Widgets are refreshed by your phone's launcher and system, and some device makers restrict background activity to save battery, so we cannot guarantee that a widget updates at exactly the right moment on every device. Please do not rely on the app as your only reminder for an important date.
The couple questions are for fun and conversation. They are not relationship, medical or professional advice.
9. Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device, launcher, operating-system version or manufacturer's software.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NewAgeDevs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, use or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived.
11. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms. We may also stop offering or updating the app. Sections 2, 7, 9, 10 and 13 continue to apply after termination.
12. Changes
We may update these terms when the app changes. The “Last updated” date above will change, and significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.
