These Terms govern your use of MockMyApp. Your privacy is covered separately, in the Privacy Policy, and refunds in the Refund Policy.

In short: the editor is free and needs no account. Pro is a subscription that renews until you cancel it. Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Credits pay for cloud AI; the monthly allowance resets, and credits you buy never expire. What you make is yours, and checking it before you publish is your job.

1. Agreement, licence and who we are

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Md. Imam Hossain, an individual developer trading as New Age Devs, of Bangladesh ("we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of the MockMyApp applications on Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows, Linux and the web, and the MockMyApp cloud service behind sign-in, cloud AI and purchases (together, the "App").

By downloading, installing or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

Your licence. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on any device you own or control, as permitted by the usage rules of the store you obtained it from. This licence is subject to these Terms, and in particular to section 8.

The App is licensed, not sold. We keep all right, title and interest in the App that these Terms do not expressly grant you, including its source code and its original artwork. Open-source components, typefaces and any third-party artwork included under licence remain the property of their authors and are used under their own terms. Updates we supply are governed by these Terms unless an update comes with its own licence.

Where you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies to that licence.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age at which you can consent to online services where you live if that is higher, to use the App or create an account. To buy a plan or credits you must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission. If you use the App on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

3. What the App does

MockMyApp is a tool for composing app-store screenshots. You supply images, and the App places them in device frames with backgrounds and captions and exports the result. The editor runs on your device, needs no account, and keeps your projects on your device.

Some features are optional and use our cloud service: cloud AI, which writes store copy and captions, translates, and makes images; and purchases tied to your account. These need an account (section 4). The App also uses AI built into your device, which needs no account and sends nothing to us. The App downloads typefaces from Google's font service, including for its own interface, as the Privacy Policy describes.

4. Your account

You create an account by signing in with Google or Apple. The App asks you to only when you first use cloud AI or make a purchase. You agree to:

  • keep one account for yourself, and not share it, sell it or let others use it;
  • keep access to your Google or Apple account secure, since it is the key to your MockMyApp account;
  • tell us at imamagun94@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time, in the App or as described at mockmyapp.com/delete-account. We may suspend or close an account as section 14 describes.

5. Your content

You own your content. Every image you import, every caption you write and every file you export remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.

What we may do with it. Your projects stay on your device and never reach us. When you run a cloud AI action, you give us a limited permission to send what that action needs to our service providers and process it, only to carry out that action and keep the service safe, as the Privacy Policy describes. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not let anyone else do so.

You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, every screenshot, logo, image, font choice and piece of text you put into the App or send to cloud AI, and that using them does not infringe anyone's copyright, trade mark, privacy or other rights. This matters in particular for third-party brands, app screenshots that are not yours, and photographs of identifiable people.

Backups are yours to keep. Uninstalling the App, clearing its data, losing or resetting the device, or a platform failure can destroy your projects. We hold no copy and cannot recover them. Export or back up work you cannot afford to lose.

6. Device frames, brands and third-party rights

The App renders illustrated representations of device hardware and includes names describing which devices those frames resemble. Those device names, and the trade marks and trade dress of the companies that make them, belong to their respective owners. MockMyApp is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc., Google LLC, Samsung Electronics, or any other device manufacturer or store operator. Device names are used only to identify the hardware a frame depicts.

Typefaces available in the App are provided under their own licences by their respective authors.

Store rules are your responsibility. MockMyApp helps you produce images and text that fit each store's size and length requirements. It cannot tell you whether your screenshots or store copy satisfy Google Play's Developer Program Policies, Apple's App Store Review Guidelines, or any other store's rules on content, claims or representation of your app. Reviewing and complying with those rules is your job, not the App's.

7. AI features and what they make

Who owns the output. As between you and us, the text and images the AI makes for you ("output") are yours, to the extent the law allows anyone to own them, and we assign to you any rights we may have in them. You may use output commercially, including in your store listings.

Check it before you use it. Output is generated by AI models. It can be inaccurate, can describe features your app does not have, can resemble existing work, and may not be unique: someone else may receive similar output. You are responsible for reviewing output, and for making sure your listing describes your app truthfully and follows each store's rules, before you publish it.

How it works. Cloud AI runs on models we choose, through Amazon Bedrock, and we may change the model behind an action at any time. Requests pass through automated safety filters, which may refuse or alter a request; if an action fails or is filtered, its credits are returned automatically. We may set fair-use and rate limits to keep the service available and affordable for everyone. The AI built into your device is provided by Apple, Google or your browser, and what it can do depends on your device.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the App to create material that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative of minors;
  • use it, or prompt its AI, to create sexually explicit or gratuitously violent material, or images of real, identifiable people without their consent;
  • use it to impersonate another app, product, company or person, or to produce deceptive marketing, counterfeit store listings, fake reviews or fraudulent material;
  • prompt or upload material that infringes anyone's intellectual property, including other companies' logos, trade marks, characters or app interfaces;
  • try to get around the AI's safety filters, extract its instructions, or use output to train or build a competing AI model;
  • call our cloud service from anything other than the App, automate requests to it, scrape it, or overload it;
  • create more than one account, or use more than one device or identity, to claim free trials or welcome credits more than once;
  • sell, transfer or share credits, plans or accounts;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable under the law that applies to you;
  • rent, lease, lend, resell, sublicense or redistribute the App itself;
  • attempt to circumvent, disable or tamper with the watermark applied to free exports, purchase verification, genuine-app checks, or any other technical measure in the App;
  • use the App in violation of any applicable law or export control regulation.

Cloud AI is also subject to the acceptable-use rules of the companies whose services it runs on, which you agree to follow when you use it: the AWS Acceptable Use Policy, Anthropic's Usage Policy and Stability AI's Acceptable Use Policy.

9. Plans, payments and credits

The plans, prices and credit costs that apply right now are listed at mockmyapp.com/pricing, and the App shows the price and terms of any purchase before you confirm it. The numbers below marked "currently" can change, as section 9.9 describes.

9.1 Free

The editor is free to use, with no limit on projects or exports. Exports made without Pro or Lifetime carry a watermark. The AI built into your device is free. After you first sign in with Google or Apple on a device that passes the App's genuine-device check, we add a one-time gift of welcome credits (currently 15), once per person. Welcome credits expire 30 days after they are added. We may change or end the welcome gift for new accounts.

9.2 Pro (subscription)

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly. While it is active, your exports carry no watermark and you receive a monthly cloud AI allowance (currently 200 credits each billing month).

  • Auto-renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, and you are charged for the next period, until you cancel. For App Store and Google Play subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
  • Cancelling. Cancel where you bought it: in your Apple or Google account settings for store purchases, or through Paddle for web purchases. mockmyapp.com/account has the links. After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and then ends. Cancelling does not refund the current period; refunds are covered in section 9.8.
  • Deleting your account, in the App or by email, cancels a subscription bought through Paddle immediately. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, which only you can cancel, in the store.
  • When Pro ends, exports carry the watermark again unless you have Lifetime, and the unused part of the monthly allowance ends with it. Credits you bought are not affected. Your projects stay on your device.

9.3 Free trial

The yearly Pro plan may come with a free trial for people who have not had one before (currently 7 days, with a smaller trial allowance of 50 credits). One trial per person: the stores and we may check whether you have already had one. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid yearly subscription at the price shown when you started it. For App Store and Google Play trials, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Trial credits end with the trial.

9.4 Lifetime, and the promise to one-time buyers

Lifetime is a single, one-time purchase that removes the watermark from your exports, permanently. It is sold in the App Store and Google Play, as the non-consumable product com.newagedevs.mockmyapp.pro, and through Paddle on the web, Windows and Linux. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. Lifetime does not include cloud AI credits; you can buy credit packs whenever you want them.

This is the purchase previously sold as "MockMyApp Pro". If you bought it, nothing about it changes. A purchase you have already made is not affected by price changes. We will not convert an existing one-time unlock into a subscription, and we will not re-gate behind a new purchase anything Pro already unlocked for you. It does not need an account, and a store purchase can always be restored from the store you bought it in.

9.5 Credits

Credits are units that pay for cloud AI actions. Each action costs a number of credits, listed at mockmyapp.com/pricing and shown in the App before you run it.

  • The monthly allowance that comes with Pro resets at the start of each billing month. Unused allowance does not roll over, and it ends when Pro ends.
  • Trial credits are a gift that ends with the trial.
  • Welcome credits are a one-time gift (section 9.1). They expire 30 days after they are added.
  • Credits you buy in a credit pack never expire. They stay on your account for as long as the account exists.
  • When you run an action, credits are taken from your trial credits first, then your monthly allowance, then your welcome credits, then credits you bought.
  • Credits have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another account, or refunded, except as the Refund Policy or the law provides.
  • If an action fails or is filtered, its credits are returned automatically.
  • If a payment is refunded or charged back, the credits it granted are removed, even if that takes your balance below zero, and cloud AI is paused until the balance is positive again.
  • We may change what actions cost. A change in what an action costs applies only to actions you run after the new cost is shown in the App. It never removes credits already in your balance.
  • If we ever stop offering cloud AI, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the App and on our website, so you can use your credits, and refund unused purchased credits where the law requires.

9.6 Who sells to you

App Store and Google Play. Purchases in the iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Android apps are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which take the payment and are subject to their own terms. Prices, taxes, currency, receipts and billing are theirs.

The web, Windows and Linux. Our order process there is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all those orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns for those orders, and its Buyer Terms apply to the sale.

We never receive your card details, wherever you buy.

9.7 Your plan on every device

Pro, Lifetime and credits you buy while signed in belong to your MockMyApp account. Sign in with the same Google or Apple account and they are available on every platform the App runs on, wherever you bought them: in the App Store, in Google Play or through Paddle. A Lifetime purchase made in a store also stays with your store account, so it can always be restored with "Restore Purchases", signed in to the same store account. On Apple platforms, a purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.

9.8 Refunds

Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by the store, under its policy. Refunds for web, Windows and Linux purchases follow our Refund Policy, through Paddle. Where the law where you live gives you a statutory right to cancel or a guarantee that cannot be excluded, that right stands regardless, and nothing in these Terms limits it.

9.9 Price and plan changes

We may change prices, the monthly allowance, trial terms and credit costs for the future. A price change to an active subscription takes effect only from a renewal after we, or the store, have told you about it in advance as the store's rules and the law require, and you can cancel before it applies. A change in what an action costs applies as section 9.5 describes: only to actions you run after the App shows the new cost, and it never removes credits already in your balance. Changes are never retroactive to a purchase you have already made.

10. Availability, updates and discontinuation

The App is provided as-is and as-available. We may release updates that add, change or remove features. Cloud features depend on our servers and on the companies that run them, and may sometimes be unavailable, slow, or limited. We may stop distributing or supporting the App, or stop offering cloud features, at any time, subject to section 9.5 for credits and section 9.4 for Lifetime. If we discontinue the App, copies already installed keep working, without cloud features, for as long as your operating system supports them.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and its output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, that AI output will be accurate, original or fit for your purpose, that exported images or text will be accepted by any app store, or that any particular result will be achieved.

Consumer rights are not excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or of statutory consumer guarantees. Where that is so, the exclusions above do not apply to you, and you keep every right your local law gives you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business, or data, including loss of your projects or exported images, arising out of or in connection with the App, whether the claim is in contract, tort including negligence, strict liability or otherwise, and even if we have been advised of the possibility.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid for the App, including plans and credits, in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 25.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, brought by a third party and arising out of content you created with the App, including AI output you chose to publish, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own wrongdoing.

14. Suspension and termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use the App. You may end them at any time by deleting your account, if you have one, and the App.

We may suspend cloud features for an account, or close it, if you materially breach these Terms, in particular section 8; if we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or a payment that was not authorised; or if the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. If we close an account for a breach, unused credits are lost, to the extent the law allows. If we close one for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of any subscription period and of credits you bought.

Sections 5, 7, 11, 12 and 13 survive termination.

15. App-store terms also apply

Your use of the App is additionally subject to the terms of the store you obtained it from, the Google Play Terms of Service or the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Where a store's rules require something these Terms do not provide, the store's rules apply to that point. Where you obtained the App from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you. Where you obtained it from Google Play, Google LLC and its affiliates have the equivalent right.

16. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the App.
  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stands and the unenforceable part is narrowed to the minimum extent needed to make it valid.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing a provision once does not waive it.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them as part of a transfer of the App to a successor, on notice in the App or on this page.
  • Changes. We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date above changes when we do, and material changes will be noted in the App's release notes and, for account holders, in the App before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not, stop using the App and cancel any subscription. Changes are never retroactive to a purchase you have already made.
