NewAgeDevs: who we are and what we build
The story behind NewAgeDevs — a small indie studio building clean, fast Android apps and CodeCanyon products, and the principles that guide everything we ship.
NewAgeDevs
You've probably found us through one of our apps — a downloader, maybe, or the gesture volume control. This post is the other side of that: who actually builds these, and why we do it the way we do.
A small team that ships Solutions
NewAgeDevs is an indie studio — me and a few friends who love building things. We're not a big company with a roadmap committee. We're developers and designers who'd rather ship a focused, polished app than a bloated one stuffed with features nobody asked for.
That smallness is a feature, not a limitation. It means we can move quickly, fix bugs the same week they're reported, and keep a consistent level of craft across everything we put out — from a free Play Store app to a premium CodeCanyon product other developers build on.
What we build
Two main things:
- Android apps on Google Play — media downloaders, utilities and widgets. Browse them all on our apps page.
- Source-code products on CodeCanyon — clean, well-documented templates and apps that other developers can license and customise.
Different audiences, same standard.
The principles behind every release
A few things guide what we ship:
Do one thing well
Each app has a clear job. A Reels downloader downloads Reels — beautifully — rather than trying to be an everything-app. Focus is what lets us make each one feel effortless.
Fast and light
We build with Jetpack Compose and native engines where it counts, so our apps feel instant and respect your storage and battery. Nobody should need a flagship phone to enjoy a volume widget.
Privacy-first
Your downloads and settings stay on your device. We don't sell personal data. Our apps are free because of non-intrusive ads — not because you're the product. You can read the details in our privacy policy.
Actually maintained
Plenty of apps get published and abandoned. Ours don't. There are real people behind every update, and we read the feedback that comes in.
Where we're headed
We're going to keep doing what we do — building small, sharp tools people actually enjoy using — and we're opening up a bit more, starting with this blog. Expect practical guides, product updates, and the occasional behind-the-scenes note.
